Your First 30 Days with These Proven Strategies

I am thrilled by the response to our latest Weekend Workplace Series update, where we dove deep into how to crush your first 30 and 60 days at work. It’s clear that many of you are eager to make an impact from day one, and I’m here to help you take it even further.

Let’s Build on What We Started

In our last newsletter, I shared insights from a conversation with Orimolade Oluwamuyemi focusing on critical steps like owning your feedback, knowing your purpose, and stakeholder mapping. But success doesn’t stop there—it’s about continuous improvement, and I’m here to guide you through the next stages.

Here’s What’s Next:

1. Reflect and Adjust: After your first 30 days, take a moment to reflect on the feedback you’ve received and the progress you’ve made. Are there areas where you can improve? Now is the time to adjust your approach and refine your strategy.

2. Deepen Relationships: By now, you should have a good understanding of your key stakeholders. Take this time to deepen those relationships.

Did you find out who your stakeholders are on your team?

Schedule follow-up meetings, offer support where needed, and continue to build trust in the workplace, Trust is earned

3. Take Initiative: Your first 60 days are an excellent opportunity to start taking the initiative. Identifying a problem that needs your personal touch and that aligns with your role. This shows that you’re not just settling in but actively contributing to the team’s success.

4. Keep Learning: Stay curious and open to learning. Whether it’s picking up a new skill, attending workshops (like our Human Skills, Soft Power, and Power Skills workshop), or simply asking more questions, continuous learning will set you apart.

Working On Your Next Action Plan:

  • Review Your Stakeholder Map: Have you connected with everyone you need to? If not, now’s the time.

  • Set a 60-Day Goal: What’s one significant achievement you can aim for by the end of your second month? Write it down and start working toward it.

Let’s Keep the Momentum Going

I’m passionate about helping you succeed, and I want to hear about your journey. How are you applying these strategies? What challenges are you facing?

Let’s keep the conversation going—join our LinkedIn Live sessions, share your experiences, and don’t hesitate to reach out.
